I closed my eyes and rested my head on the back of the head board on my bed as I dreamed of Ferris and I playing hide and go seek again. It had been nearly a month since I last saw Gaven and I had no idea where he was or if he was alive. It was just a month ago I walked out of the hospital parking lot, Gaven watching me walk away from out his window. He had tears in his eyes and running down his cheeks then. I dream of his smile and his beautiful eyes, and how we use to play together. I loved Gaven, but I couldn't take the abuse. And leaving him killed me inside. It still hurts to think of him or how he is now. What if he's dead because he doesn't know how to take care of himself without me? I thought.

I dug my nails into my lower wrist until it went numb with pain. I had cuts running up and down my wrist on both arms, I cut myself with hot metal that Pa made in his garage. Pa wasn't really my dad, or even related to me. After I left Gaven he found me sleeping in the woods while he was hunting he took me home and made me part of his family. I have two sisters and three brothers, and a Ma. The oldest is Carolina, she's fifteen. Then Greg, who is also fifteen but a few moths younger. Samantha, who's thirteen. Aaron, eleven. And then, the youngest would be Henry. He's only a year old. They all have firey red golden hair and emerald green eyes that were beautiful. I loved them all dearly, even though I had only known them for a short time.

Samatha was my favortie, mainly because she wasn't a brat like Carolina was. And the boys were too rough and Henry is too noisy and cries to much. Someone knocked on my door as I stood up to change clothes, "What!" I yelled as the door flung open. Aaron was standing there with a bowl of cereal in his hand and a spoon in his mouth. He pulled it out and rolled his eyes at me, "Hey. Loser. You need to come to the kitchen and make some break fast." With that, he turned around and shook his butt at me before walking all the way out of the door. "Aaron!" I yelled as he ran away down the hall. Aaron was an annoying rbat that thought he ruled the house. He was the smartest. He was only eleven and was finished with school. I wasn't even finished with middle school! Of course, how could I be? They just got me enrolled in middle school this month.

It was weird being older then every one in your grade. And beign a foot taller and three years older. No one talked to me, I was feared. Except from one boy. His name was Collier Jame. He was my best friend, but nothing like Gaven. No body is like Gaven . . . After sitting on my bed for a while more I got up and walked to the kitchen to make something to eat. I opened the top left cabinet and pulled out a bagel. Not even having to ask, Greg reached in the fridge and handed me the sour cream and a knife. He smiled and nodded at me before going back outide to work on the garden with Ma and Carolina. It was pretty. Small, but pretty. The day I came here I helped Greg plant the red rose bush in the corner, it was beautiful!

Greg was one of the best guys you'll ever meet in your life. He was handsom, nice, caring, and sensible. I sunk my teeth into the bagel and tore off a piece with my front teeth as I pulled up a chair to watch Greg work on the garden. He was trimming the rose bush we planted on the third day of me being here. He planted it for me to show that I was welcome in their family and he accepted me. Ever since then Greg and I have had a deep connection inside of us. If I catch him gazing at me he'll blush and quickly turn his head away.
